New Study Confirms That Trump’s Health Care Sabotage Will Raise Costs For Pennsylvanians

Donald Trump’s attempts to sabotage health care haven’t stopped despite Republicans numerous failed attempts to pass a plan that would kick seniors out of their nursing homes, increase the cost of prescription drugs, and strip protections from people with pre-existing conditions, women, and those suffering from substance use disorder. According to a new study by the Kaiser Family Foundation, Trump’s failed leadership will cause Pennsylvanians premiums to go up. For example, Philadelphians could see their health care costs rise by as much as 23% because of Trump’s reckless actions.

“Donald Trump and Republicans in Washington need to stop playing games with the health of the American people,” said Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Brandon Cwalina. “It’s time for Republicans to get serious and work with Democrats to make health care more affordable and accessible for all Pennsylvanians.”
