Over the weekend, Scott Wagner’s new buddy, alt-right leader Steve Bannon, told a crowd that how excited he is that Donald Trump is “blowing-up” health care for millions of Americans by jacking up premiums. Last month, Bannon endorsed Wagner and they even “plane-pooled” together out to an ultra-conservative conference.
“Both right-wing Wagner and alt-right leader Steve Bannon support huge premium hikes, gutting protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and kicking seniors out of their nursing homes,” said Beth Melena, communications director for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “Right-wing Wagner, just like his buddy Bannon, wants to strip health insurance away from hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians. He’s dangerous for Pennsylvania.”
Bannon says Trump will ‘blow up’ Obamacare as subsidies cut stokes fires
“Bannon, a former senior White House strategist who remains close to the president, spoke at a conservative event in Washington on Saturday, at the end of a week in which Trump signed an executive order to allow the sale of cheaper insurance under the ACA and ended federal subsidies that help poorer Americans afford health coverage. ‘Then you had Obamacare,’ Bannon said at the Values Voter Summit, as he listed Trump’s recent achievements. ‘Not gonna make the CSR [cost-sharing reduction] payments, gonna blow that thing up, gonna blow those [insurance] exchanges up, right?’” [The Guardian, 10/15/17]

“President Donald Trump hasn’t endorsed a candidate for the GOP nomination in Pennsylvania’s gubernatorial election next year, but Scott Wagner might have something close to it.
