The Truth About Toomey

This past Monday, we launched a website dedicated to disseminating the truth about Pat Toomey. The site provides critical information to voters about the Republican senate hopeful’s past as a Wall Street derivatives trader and record in Congress. Over the coming months, the site will be updated frequently in order to provide the most accurate information for interested parties. Please check in frequently and follow us on twitter @ToomeyFacts and help us spread the truth about Toomey.

The website can be found at http://www.toomeyfacts.com and includes highlights from Toomey’s voting record, quotes from the man himself, and information about his life and career on Wall Street.

This website is a great tool for voters to educate themselves about Pat Toomey. We are confident that as Pennsylvanians learn just how out of touch and extraordinarily conservative Toomey is, they’ll agree that he has no business representing us in the US Senate.

Kickoff To Victory In Congressional District 12

On Monday, April 11th the Pennsylvania Democratic Party held a grand opening for our Uniontown Campaign Headquarters. The event marked the kickoff for the special election in Congressional District 12 to elect Mark Critz to Congress. Over 50 activists, supporters and friends of the Democratic Party signed up to volunteer and canvass in the Uniontown region.

Mark Critz, our candidate for Congress in the 12th Congressional District, met with local volunteers and spoke about his Fayette County roots. Mark was introduced by County Chair Fred Lebder, a life-long Democratic activist and community leader. Fred stressed the importance of spreading Mark's message across the district and educating voters on the need to continue Congressman Murtha's legacy by electing Mark Critz to Congress. Mark has a proven record of bringing jobs to the district, having served under Congressman Murtha as the Director of Economic Development.

Love Blooms At State Committee

The PA Democratic Party has always had the goal of bringing together like-minded individuals from across the state, but that doesn’t mean it has to be exclusively in the political arena. Your favorite video vixen and finance fiend Rachel Ann Moore is set to marry State Party foot-soldier and legal guru Victor Winter Wills, IV this Saturday, April 17, 2010.

The happy couple met at the June State Committee Meeting in 2006: He was selling tickets for the PA Victory ’06 fundraiser; she was selling candy for the Tri-County Democratic Women’s Federation. It was a match made in Democratic Heaven. Though not all was sunshine, candy and Chuck Schumer. There were trials; most notable among them was how the two managed to overcome a bitter, divisive and deep-seated mutual loathing – Victor is an unflinching Eagles fanatic and Rachel is a staunch Steelers devotee. Still, the Political pair worked past their Pennsylvania partisanship, and they’re excited to start their personal journey toward a more perfect union.

The Pennsylvania Democratic Party family is so happy for Rachel and Victor and we wish them all the love and happiness for their new life together.
