Newly Elected Officers Of The Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee

HARRISBURG, Pa: Jim Burn was elected by unanimous acclamation to succeed T.J. Rooney as Chairman of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party Saturday at the Radisson Penn Harris in Camp Hill. Democratic Chairman for Allegheny County, Burn said of his election: "I am honored to have the support of this body. Working with each of the sixty-seven counties across the state, I am confident that we will elect Dan Onorato as our next Governor and Joe Sestak as the junior Senator from Pennsylvania.

An attorney, Allegheny County Councilman, and father of two, Burn has long worked with the Pennsylvania Democratic Party and formerly served as the Mayor of Millvale. He assumed the Chairmanship immediately following his election.

Penny Gerber of Mongomery County was elected as Vice-Chair and Ann Bursis of Wayne County was re-elected to serve as treasurer.
