Rep Joe Sestak The party is making another huge mistake trying to force out Rep. Sestak from the Senate primary.I became a Democrat to vote and work for him. I realize they foolishly promised Senator Spector they would support him to get his vote when he wanted to switch parties, BUT the too was a mistake. People don't want politics as usual. Joe is intelligent, very hard working and definitely tries to understand a situation from the people's view. He is also principled- isn't that nice in a politican! IF YOU DO NOT KNOW OF HIM, GO HEAR HIM SPEAK AND ASK HIM QUESTIONS AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN. WAKE UP DEMOCRATIC PARTY. STOP SHOOTING YOURSELF IN THE FOOT! Quote |

I wish the State party would endorse after the counties so that it felt more like a democratic process instead of getting to the endorsement meeting only to find that the state party already endorsed specter, maybe if they would have put it up to the PA democrats instead of insiders they will not look as bad when Sestak beats Specter this Tuesday. I just received an e-mail from Mary Isenhour, insinuating that should Joe Sestak lose tomorrow, that the Congressman would potentially support Toomey. This is factually incorrect. Want to verify it for yourself? Check the article... ON CNN'S website: The headline for the story? IN DEFEAT, SESTAK WOULD FALL IN LINE TO TRY AND BEAT TOOMEY IN SENATE CONTEST. The quotations they use from Joe Sestak? He said he would "do anything to make sure we beat Pat Toomey." In addition, he said "As I said, I come from a background in the military where the prospect of winning is the only, only option you have.... But I'll do anything to make sure that Pat Toomey doesn't win. But we're gonna win. Pat Toomey is gonna lose." These are the words that Joe Sestak used. To insinuate anything else is reprehensible, and it smacks of the same "politics of fear" that we have accused the Republicans of as we attempt to move the country forward on such important issues as health care reform. To quote Mary Isenhour, I was "stunned" to receive this e-mail. So, when people ask me who solidified my vote for Joe Sestak tomorrow, I will let people know that it was Mary Isenhour. Shame. Quote |

Joe has my vote and the vote of my entire family. I agree it's time for a change and after we rejected the PA Political Machine during the presidential race we have proven that we have a voice and an opinion instead of letting PA politician's lead us like lambs to the slaughter. I also don't know where they get these polls from because I don't recall anyone asking me ANYTHING...EVER! So...don't believe the hype. Who are you going to believe...them or your own eyes? Quote |
