The Pennsylvania Democratic Party has a history of commitment to the African-American community. The African-American Caucus supports a comprehensive effort to recognize the loyalty, great dedication and vast contributions of the African-American community to the Democratic Party.  Our membership is committed to advancing the ideals and values of the Democratic Party and the African-American community.

The African-American Caucus has two primary goals:

• Strengthening the influence of the community by electing more African-Americans to elected office.
• Encouraging active participation in the Democratic Party through trainings in fundraising, messaging and getting out the vote for Democrats.

These goals are accomplished by:

• Organizing events that raise political awareness, cultivate new members, and provide a venue to discuss issues by working closely with the Pennsylvania Democratic Party.
• Raising money.
