Why do I get the eerie feeling that the majority of White voters are voting for Barack Obama primarily (and ironically) BECAUSE he's Black?

Are they trying to convince themselves that they're not racist because they're voting for a Black man for President?

Are they voting for Obama to alleviate their "White guilt?"

Is "White guilt" real?

(I'm an African American - and I'm curious.)
