With the exception of their INITIAL positions on the war, there is virtually no difference in their positions. And they are certainly FAR, FAR closer to one another on EVERY ISSUE than either of them is to John McBush on ANY ISSUE.

So, if you feel compelled for emotional reasons to go vote for McBush this fall, then do so with our blessing. It is, after all, your right to vote for whomever you please. But don't pretend that it's a reasoned decision, based on the issues. Be forthright enough to admit that you're angry Senator Clinton lost so, UNLIKE SENATOR CLINTON...WHO IS TRULY CONCERNED ABOUT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, you're going to take your vote and run away.

You never said why you plan to become a Republican if Obama is the candidate. What is your objection to Barack Obama? Why is Obama a slap in the face?

Gasoline Prices

Everyone knows that gas prices are too high. The thing that most people aren't thinking about is whose fault it is. Politicians! Not George Bush or the republicans, that's too easy! It’s all of them! Sorry to bust your bubble if you're naive enough to believe in your congressional rep or your senator. There are several steps to resolving the issue. The simple one is to stop using oil and use renewable forms of energy. The problem of course is that they haven’t figured out how to charge us for solar energy. If we can power the rover on mars with solar energy surely being as close as we are to the sun we could do it here with our vehicles. But forget science for now, let’s think more short term.

The short term solution is simple. All natural resources belong to the people. Take water for instance. Water is managed by public utilities (no profit)! So it’s simple, the government should seize all holdings of the oil companies as is done when local governments claim eminent domain (I’m not usually for government control of anything but when there’s a profit to be had no one can be trusted.), this of course would require a one time buyout of existing shareholders (just to be fair) and then we could all share in the energy without massive profits from oil, coal, wind, hydro-electric and natural gas. By making energy a non profit deal it would drastically reduce the current price.

Additionally, since we would not sell our oil, we would not have to worry about global demand. This of course would take short term concessions by the environmentalists to allow drilling in Alaska ad off shore, but this would be temporary as we pass laws that would require the government to produce solar, hydrogen, and natural gas products to replace oil based fuels. The end result would be clean not for profit energy. As the technology progresses for solar and hydrogen energy emissions would be eliminated.

What bothers me is that, I’m not that smart and I can think of this. So why haven’t our best and brightest come up with a similar proposal? I don’t believe they are not smart enough, they just don’t want to, Democrats and Republicans alike. Republicans side with big oil, while democrats are steadily trying to create their own cash machine through the “Go Green” initiatives.

The reason behind this are numerous, everything from reducing our interests in foreign oil producing regions to, giving the U.S. a competitive advantage in the global marketplace, which will give us once again the political clout to set an example for the rest of the world and get the to follow suit. If we don’t show how you can reasonably “Go Green” without killing your economy, you’ll never get other countries to follow. A special note to the environmentalists, if you don’t get the rest of the world to go along you will not be able to reduce green house gases; you won’t even make a dent.

The U.S. population is dwindling since it’s too expensive to raise and educate kids all the yuppies are stopping at 1 or 2 kids. All the people are being born overseas and they don’t care about green house gases. Besides, many scientists already know and most realize that green house gases are a natural occurring effect. Unless you figure out how to turn off volcanoes and other geothermal vents along with stopping wildfires that even if all mankind all over the world cease all emission now, you’re only eliminating about 3% of green house gas emissions. Many believe that this would not be enough to slow the greenhouse effect. I guess only time will tell. The real question is will the U.S. still be a superpower by the time we find out.

It is my sincere hope that you will change your mind and vote for Obama. While you may have some legitimate beefs with the way this primary season has played out, the bottom line is that the need for a change in direction for our Country has reached a critical mass. If McCain is elected:
1. He will undoubtedly tip the balance of Supreme Court Justices in favor of overturning Roe v Wade.
2. He will condemn our brave men and women in uniform to 100 more years of combat.
3. He will continue to squander our resources to prop up the government in Iraq, even as the housing market, gas prices and unemployment here in the United States spiral out of control.
4. He will continue the "go it alone" foreign policies that have isolated us in the world.
5. He will renew the Bush tax cuts, in which 90% of the tax savings goes to the wealthiest 2%.

We simply cannot afford four more years of failed Bush policy. Hillary deserves the respect and gratitude of the democratic party, but how can she play a crucial role in these next four years, if McCain wins the White House? Please, Please vote with your head and not your heart.

Hi, Just a fast note to the democratic party (colon) if you run Obama for president, my whole family across four states will leave the democratic (capitalized) party and become republicains (also should be capitalized, and spelled correctly) . Are (Our) whole lives we have been proud democratics (Democrats), but not anymore (period, or possibly exclamaion mark) this is the final slap in the face if Obama gets the nod. I know (comma) what is 75 votes (question mark) nothing right? But I know alot (a lot is two words) of people who feel the same way we do. So just think about it (period) 75 here (comma) 75 there (period, or possibly a semi-colon) soon there won't be any one left to vote democratic (actually, this should be an adverb, as in 'Democratically', but 'for a Democrat' would also work. Also it should be capitalized). You are taking things to (too) far with Obama!!!!!

To be a true Democrat is to let this primary process play out without pressuring a candidate to withdraw. I was feeling the same way as you as a democrat from PA. What I have decided to do is if O'Bama gets the nomination I will join the fight for the Hillary write-in. I agree that I can't believe the Democratic party could let a nomination go through for someone with so many hidden associations and whom we know nothing about except scandal with Rev Wright, Bill Aires and others. This Super-Delegate crap is also an abomination. All it shows is how people who tout a populist nature really just become turncoat sell-outs for their own gain.
This primary was not only hijacked by those who don't have a conscience to vote, it was then surrendered to empty rhetoric.
There is no content to an Obama speech and no revolutionary idea will come from his empty promises. All that is for sure is he'll turn his back on allies (such as Israel) and sit down with known enemies. His ideas aren't new and bold.
