PA Dems: Building Blue

Senator Arlen Specter

On behalf of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party and all of its members, I
express our heartfelt and sincere well wishes for Senator Arlen Specter as he
once again battles courageously against Hodgkin’s Disease.

He has been a fighter for Pennsylvania during his years of service in the
U.S. Senate and has fought back once before against this terrible disease
that afflicts millions of Americans.

In the spirit of bipartisanship and as proud Pennsylvanians, we wish him
nothing but the very best as he continues to embody the fighting spirit that
has made the Keystone State so proud of him and his many accomplishments
throughout all of his years of public service.

We will keep him and his family in our thoughts and prayers for as long as
it takes for him to once again come away victorious from this disease.

I do agree with you, thank you for giving valuable article.

It's possible the endorsement was to provide future potential for our governor. However, it is now very important that ALL democrats unite for November victory to insure democratic presidency. Those active in state party should be reaching out to both campaign activists to develop strategies to insure this. If we don't win in November, we can blame the established Pa. party for a significant portion; ie, playing up gun and religious clinging in the Hillary ads, governor predicting race would be factor, etc, etc.

I always thought the purpose of the primary was to determine who the democratic party would endorse based upon the wishes of the voters. How dare you endorse a candidate before we have had our chance to speak. If you really want to be leaders not dictators with old ideas and move Pennsylvania into the a competitive market, quit the "good old boys" attitude and listen to some of the intelligent voices from your party. Maybe the first thing you should examine is the demographics of the PA DNC and if it those truly representative the population of our state or is it comprised of those individuals who were put there because they can be controlled. For all of these reasons I will cast my vote on Tuesday for Barack Obama. Maybe it is time for a new political party in our country.
