Inauguration Hotel PackagesPennsylvania Democratic Party The Pennsylvania Democratic Party is pleased to announce 2009 Inauguration Hotel Packages to celebrate the Inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama and Vice-President-elect Joe Biden. The Pennsylvania Democratic Party hotel package includes 2-nights (room and taxes) at the Washington Plaza Hotel located at 10 Thomas Circle, NW on Monday, January 19th and Tuesday, January 20th. Guests may check-in at 3:00 p.m. on Monday and must check-out by 12:00 noon on Wednesday. If you would like to extend your stay in Washington, you may make arrangements directly with the hotel.
The Washington Plaza Hotel is in the heart of D.C., 5 blocks from the White House and just a few blocks from the McPherson Square Metro Station. C. area are in high demand allowing hotels to command exorbitant rates (upwards of $700 per night) and requiring 4-night minimum stays. We were pleased to offer these packages at a much lower price than the conditions required by many Washington hotels and to include a little something extra to celebrate this great moment in time! We’re so proud of the work Pennsylvanians did for President-elect Obama and Vice-President-elect Biden’s 11-point victory in Pennsylvania that we think we deserve a celebration of our own. Join Governor Rendell, Chairman Rooney and other Pennsylvania dignitaries at the Monday evening celebration no one will want to miss! With your package, you will receive complimentary tickets for this event. Tribeca Grand, the band that rocked Governor Rendell’s Inaugural Celebrations, will provide dance music, and in the coming weeks, look for announcement of other celebrity guests. Additional tickets will also be available for purchase. Due to high demand and the expense to the Pennsylvania Democratic Party for inauguration activities, there are a very limited number of packages available. Therefore, we must implement the following rules. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding that no exceptions can be made. Packages are available to registered Pennsylvania Democrats and your registration will be verified on the voter file. In the event it is not located, you will be asked to provide a copy of your voter registration card.
You will receive a confirmation notification that your order has been processed and that we have received payment. Types of packages and room assignments will be made in the order in which they were received. If the package you wish to purchase is no longer available, you will be contacted to see if you are interested in another package that may still be available. In the event that all of the packages have sold out by the time your order has been received, your name will be placed on a waiting list in the order it was received and you will contacted if a package becomes available. Click here to download this flier. The purchase of these packages does not include or guarantee tickets to the swearing-in ceremony, the Inaugural parade or the official Inauguration Balls. Those tickets must be obtained through the appropriate channels. Contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Your contribution will be used in connection with federal elections and is subject to the limitations and prohibitions of the Federal Election Campaign Act. Therefore, we must follow our best efforts to collect and report the full name, mailing address, occupation and employer of individuals whose contribution exceed $200 in a calendar year. Contributions from corporations, labor organizations, foreign nationals, or other federally prohibited sources are prohibited. All contributions must be made from personal funds or federally registered Political Action Committees and may not be reimbursed by any other person. |
