Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairwoman Nancy Patton Mills issued the following statement:
“I want to thank each and every voter who came out today to make their voice heard in these critical elections. Whenever we go to the polls, we reaffirm our commitment to our values and our candidates who will uphold them.
“I want to thank every Democrat who ran for an office this year. I especially want to thank Marc Friedenberg, Susan Boser, Sarah Hammond, and Sam Doctor for running in hard-fought special elections. We cannot win races when Democrats do not run, and each of their candidacies strengthened our party and our democracy.
“Finally, I want to congratulate Amanda Green-Hawkins and Dan McCaffery, our nominees for Superior Court. We have seen first hand in the era of Trump how vital our courts are when it comes to protecting our rights, and Amanda and Dan are prepared to defend the rights of all Pennsylvanians. I also want to congratulate each and every Democratic nominee, from district attorneys to school board members to mayors and county executives. I commit to them that the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, along with our partners in Labor and grassroots allies, will work every day to ensure they are elected victorious in November.”
