WATCH: Congressman Evans, Affordable Care Act Beneficiaries Speak Out Against Trump Lawsuit

Today the Trump Administration is in court to try to strike down the Affordable Care Act. Should this happen, more than 133 million Americans’ health care will be in jeopardy.

Today, Congressman Dwight Evans and patients who benefit from the protections of the Affordable Care Act spoke out against Trump’s lawsuit.

Watch the video below:

“I had a pre-existing illness, and until Obamacare came into effect, I was uninsured and without medical coverage,” said Beverly Kinsler of Philadelphia. “This is something that is very important. We need Obamacare badly, don’t take it away.”

“I have chronic pain all the time. People don’t empathize with that because they can’t see it. But here at my health center, they recognize that,” said Patricia Flores of Philadelphia. “I don’t know what I’d do if they took my health care away. I’ve worked all my life, and to have Obamacare saved my life.”

“Once again, the Trump Administration is trying to steal your health care,” said Congressman Dwight Evans. “I don’t believe Trump knows anything about the importance of health care. Enough is enough. Donald Trump and the Republicans do not care about health care or pre-existing conditions. We must stand up against Donald Trump stealing our health care.”
