77% of AMERICANS ARE PAYING ATTENTION TO THE IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS…BUT NOT PAT TOOMEY

PENNSYLVANIA – Yesterday, a CNN poll revealed that 77% of Americans are paying attention to the impeachment proceedings, while Pat Toomey boasted in a recent interview that he is refusing to tune in. When asked what his take is on the impeachment hearings in an interview with WNPV, Pat Toomey said, “Yeah, well I can tell you I have absolutely not been watching this. I’ve seen very, very little of the hearings.”

So we figured we’d help him catch up before the holiday.

Among many other findings, we’ve learned:

Ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland confirmed a quid pro quo [ABC News, 11/20/19]

Former National Security Council official Fiona Hill said, ‘ it was “very clear” that US officials had made a White House meeting for the Ukrainian president contingent on an announcement of investigations into Joe Biden and 2016 election interference.” [The Guardian, 11/21/19]

Hill called out Republicans for pushing a “fictional narrative” that it was Ukraine, not Russia, that interfered in the 2016 election. [The Guardian, 11/21/19]

“Pat Toomey says he has ‘absolutely not been’ paying attention to the impeachment proceedings,” said Beth Melena, senior communications advisor for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “Well Senator, the people of Pennsylvania are paying attention and want a Senator who will hold this President accountable for his impeachable offenses.  Pat Toomey is doing everything he can to protect this corrupt president.”
