Every Republican Senate candidate has opposed middle class tax cut
PENNSYLVANIA — Today the third round of payments from the Child Tax Credit tax cut hit bank accounts across the commonwealth. This middle class tax cut was opposed by every member of the GOP Senate field, who are more preoccupied with party infighting than delivering for Pennsylvanians.
“Despite the fact that the Child Tax Credit is having a positive impact on the lives of families across Pennsylvania, every GOP Senate candidate opposed this middle class tax cut,” said Democratic Party spokesperson Jack Doyle. “While the entire GOP Senate field is focused on attacking each other, the Democratic majority in the Senate is delivering for Pennsylvanians.”
In opposing this middle class tax cut, the GOP Senate field opposed an initiative that slashed hunger rates across the country, kept three million children out of poverty, and has made it easier for parents in Pennsylvania to save for their children’s education.
