Today, Bill McSwain’s gubernatorial campaign announced an endorsement from disgraced former U.S. Senate candidate Sean Parnell.
PENNSYLVANIA — Today, Bill McSwain announced he has received the endorsement of disgraced former U.S. Senate candidate Sean Parnell, saying he is “proud” to receive Parnell’s endorsement, and praising Parnell for being an “outspoken defender of our conservative values.” Parnell withdrew from the Senate race after a judge awarded sole legal custody of their children to his wife and concluded he committed “some acts of abuse in the past.”
In response to Sean Parnell’s endorsement of Bill McSwain, Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Marisa Nahem issued the following statement:
“Former U.S. Senate candidate Sean Parnell exited the Pennsylvania Senate race in disgrace after allegations of domestic abuse rocked his campaign — and now, Bill McSwain is ‘proud’ to have his endorsement. Bill McSwain simply cannot call himself a ‘law and order’ candidate in one breath, while praising insurrectionists, conspiracy theorists, and alleged domestic abusers in another. Once again, Bill McSwain is showing the people of Pennsylvania his true colors.”
