“I am proud to congratulate Emilio Vazquez on his victory in today’s special election. Representative-elect Vazquez’s victory shows that the people of Pennsylvania are engaged and ready to stand up for the values they believe in. Pennsylvanians want good schools, a strong middle class, and access to affordable, quality healthcare. They have rejected the extreme, out-of-touch agenda of the Republican Party that calls for tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires, deep cuts to programs that support our seniors, and a failure to invest in our children’s’ education. The people of North Philadelphia will be well-served by Mr. Vazquez in Harrisburg and we look forward to the great work he will do for the people of HD-197.”
