Yesterday, the Trump administration denied Pennsylvania federal cleanup aid after March’s record-breaking snowstorms. Congressman Lou Barletta, who frequently touts his close relationship with President Trump, had been a leading advocate for the FEMA funds.
In response to Congressman Barletta’s failure to deliver, Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesman Max Steele released the following statement:
“Congressman Lou Barletta can secure Trump’s help for his next political campaign but can’t secure Trump’s help to provide FEMA aid after record-breaking storms in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Congressman Barletta’s failure to deliver when people need it most, coming just a week after voting to strip hundreds of thousands of his constituents of their health insurance, makes the thought of him asking Pennsylvanians for a promotion all the more ridiculous.”
