GOP SENATE CANDIDATES FAIL TO SUPPORT BIPARTISAN U.S. INNOVATION AND COMPETITION ACT

PENNSYLVANIA — As the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act (USICA) passes the Senate and heads to the House, not a single GOP Senate candidate has voiced their support for a bill that will hold China accountable and provide a once-in-a-generation investment in America’s workers and economy. The field of failed candidates has instead focused on attacking each other over MAGA loyalty tests and elevating conspiracy theories.

“By refusing to come out in support of the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act, the Pennsylvania GOP candidates for Senate are siding with China over protecting Pennsylvania workers,” said Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Jack Doyle. “In their failure to put Pennnsylvanians first, the GOP senate field has proven their focus is on MAGA purity tests and conspiracy theories, not supporting the commonwealth’s economy.”
