Reports Reveal McCormick is Paying Taxes, Registering Cars, and Living in Connecticut

PENNSYLVANIA — As David McCormick prepares for a potential Senate bid, the mega-millionaire is already dogged by a liability threatening to sink his campaign before it even starts: He doesn’t live in Pennsylvania.
Despite claiming he lives in Pennsylvania multiple times since his failed Senate bid in 2022, reporting from The Associated Press revealed he has been living in Connecticut:
Associated Press: A review of public records, real estate listings and footage from recent interviews indicates he still lives on Connecticut’s “Gold Coast,” one of the densest concentrations of wealth in America. The former hedge fund CEO rents a $16 million mansion in Westport that features a 1,500-bottle wine cellar, an elevator and a “private waterfront resort” overlooking Long Island Sound.
This week new reporting from The American Independent revealed McCormick has two registered vehicles in Connecticut that he has been paying taxes on in the Nutmeg State:
American Independent: “Tax records reviewed by the American Independent Foundation show that McCormick owns a 2019 Honda CR-V and a 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser, both registered to his Westport, Connecticut, mansion. He paid town motor vehicle tax bills on the vehicles that were due July 1, 2023, indicating that the vehicles were still registered in Connecticut as of October 2022.”
David McCormick himself has said that Dr. Oz’s lack of ties to Pennsylvania were a major factor in his failed Senate campaign last year, and the focus on McCormick’s residency lies have already started to dog any potential campaign for the mega-millionaire.
