ICYMI: PENNSYLVANIA CAPITAL-STAR: DNC BILLBOARD TOUTS BIDEN INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDING TO HOLIDAY TRAVELERS

PENNSYLVANIA — A new billboard is up in Philadelphia, just in time for holiday travel. The Pennsylvania Capital-Star reported yesterday on the Democratic National Committee’s billboard, highlighting how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed by President Biden and Pennsylvania Democrats will create smoother future holiday travel with better airports and safer roads. The billboard thanks President Biden for delivering for Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania Capital-Star: DNC billboard touts Biden infrastructure funding to holiday travelers

A newly minted billboard in Philadelphia is touting the Biden administration’s $1.2 trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – a.k.a. the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act – ahead of holiday travel.

The billboard (see graphic below), was placed by the Democratic National Committee on the Schuylkill Expressway, just north of the Philadelphia International Airport on Tuesday, and highlights key road and air travel infrastructure components of the law, which passed Congress and was signed by President Joe Biden, last month.

The infrastructure bill was backed by nearly all congressional Democrats, as well as 19 Senate Republicans and 13 House Republicans, including U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, R-1st District, the Capital-Star’s Marley Parish previously reported.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will hand Pennsylvania more than $70 million to “modernize airport infrastructure,” nearly $3 million over the next five years to improve public transit, more than $11 billion to improve highways, and $1.6 billion for bridge repairs and replacements over the next five years, according to a statement from the DNC.

“As Americans travel to be with their loved ones this holiday season, we want to make sure folks in Pennsylvania know that better roads, highways, bridges, airports are on the way, thanks to President Biden’s and Pennsylvania Democrats’ leadership,” DNC Chair Jaime Harrison said in a statement. “The President’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will improve highways, repair bridges, improve public transportation, and modernize our airports, easing stress and making it easier for Pennsylvanians to get around and stay connected.”
