Corman wants to give your social security number to the inexperienced third party contractors who want to run his fraudit
PENNSYLVANIA — Jake Corman is at war with himself. Yesterday he continued his bizarre tantrum about the Pennsylvania Department of State’s efforts to educate people on the vote-by-mail law that was championed by none other than Jake Corman — and he’s taking it out on Pennsylvania voters by subpoenaing their social security and driver’s license numbers for his taxpayer-funded fraudit. Even worse, he wants to put this sensitive personal information in the hands of inexperienced private contractors.
“Jake Corman sinks further down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole every day — now he wants to subpoena your personal information and give it out to private contractors,” said Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesman Brendan Welch. “This is scary — Corman wants to put peoples’ personal information in the hands of irresponsible and inexperienced third parties. At best this is illegal — at worst it’s a terrifying and wildly intrusive move. Corman is selling us out and must be held accountable.”
It’s not looking good for Corman, who is under fire from both the right and the left for his bumbling fraudit. This entire circus is intended to appease the far-right conspiracy theorists pushing for “fraudits” across the country, but they’ve already branded him “Jake the Snake” and want him to resign or be primaried. Meanwhile, his own constituents are passing resolutions condemning him for the fraudit while Corman’s spokesman insults them in the press.
