PENNSYLVANIA — Today, this season’s hottest TV show — the Pennsylvania Apprentice — announces new special programming, a challenge to see which contestant will be fact-checked the most over the course of the “Trump primary.” First up, we take a look at Trump’s former U.S. Attorney Bill McSwain, his infamous claims of voter fraud, and his refusal to admit Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election.
Bill McSwain is still refusing to admit President Biden is the legitimate President, and he’s being called out for it once again. In a recent interview, McSwain’s dodge was so obvious that even the GOP-aligned interviewer had to note that, “as a guy who used to run campaigns and help candidates with their answers, I admire how you didn’t answer my question.”
This isn’t McSwain’s first time dodging this question — even at his campaign launch he literally ran away from NBC10 reporter Lauren Mayk as she asked him a host of questions — including on Harrisburg Republicans’ sham “audit” of the 2020 presidential election and his desperate love letter to Trump.
McSwain’s false claims don’t have a leg to stand on — even McSwain himself couldn’t find any instances of voter fraud to prosecute in 2020 — something he papered over in his letter to Trump over the summer, begging for an endorsement and repeating Trump’s baseless claims of voter fraud. This letter was deemed “just false” by Trump’s former Attorney General Bill Barr, and has since led to McSwain becoming a laughing stock across the country.
Therefore, we’ll take a page out of Bill Barr’s book and classify McSwain’s claim as “JUST FALSE.”
“Bill McSwain is a self-serving politician who has spent his campaign hiding from Pennsylvanians and dodging questions in a desperate attempt to earn Trump’s support,” said Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Marisa Nahem. “We hope this new fact checking series will help the many loyal fans keep up with the mess that is the crowded PA Apprentice boardroom — and we’re excited to begin with Trump’s former U.S. Attorney Bill McSwain, his embarrassing letter, and his refusal to admit President Biden won the 2020 presidential election.”
