PENNSYLVANIA – After President Joe Biden launched his re-election campaign, Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chair Sharif Street issued the following statement:
“Four years ago President Biden announced his campaign by saying we were in a battle for the soul of this nation. This week he launched his reelection campaign to finish that fight with the full support of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party.
President Biden is working to grow the economy from the middle out and bottom up, not the top down. He is committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose, lowering child care and prescription drug costs, and defending Social Security and Medicare.
On the other side, MAGA extremists are threatening Social Security and Medicare, taking away health care decisions for women, choosing the NRA over kids, banning books, and attacking voting rights.
That is what is at stake in this election, a President who will fight for the American people versus an extremist movement who wants to take us backwards.
I fully endorse President Joe Biden for reelection, and the PA Dems are committed to ensuring he is victorious in 2024.”
