PENNSYLVANIA – Today, Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairwoman Nancy Patton Mills released the following statement on President Biden’s nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court:
“This is a great day for our nation as President Biden fulfills his promise to nominate a thoroughly qualified and experienced judge to the highest court in the land. Judge Jackson would be the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court, and her time as a public defender will bring a much-needed viewpoint to our nation’s justice system. She has been confirmed by a bipartisan majority of the U.S. Senate three times and we look forward to seeing her garner similar support as she moves toward serving our country at the highest level.”
