PENNSYLVANIA DEMOCRATIC PARTY ENDORSES AUSTIN DAVIS FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

PENNSYLVANIA — Today, the Pennsylvania Democratic Party’s state committee members voted to endorse State Representative Austin Davis for Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania.

PA Dems Chairwoman Nancy Patton Mills released the following statement on the endorsement:

“This is a great day for the future of Pennsylvania. We are excited to unite behind Austin Davis for Lieutenant Governor and the Shapiro-Davis ticket. Austin is a devoted public servant who has spent his career making Western Pennsylvania a stronger and better region for everyone — and he has made waves in Harrisburg standing up for working families. We look forward to Austin bringing his considerable work ethic and commitment to public good to the Lieutenant Governor’s office, and leading our commonwealth alongside Josh Shapiro.”

Austin Davis released the following statement:

“As a lifelong Democrat it is an honor to have my party’s endorsement to serve as our Commonwealth’s next Lt. Governor. Throughout my time in public service, I have proudly fought for the values Democrats stand for; an economy that works for all of us, not just the favored few, a society that understands diversity and equality makes us stronger, and a belief that we can make our communities better by looking out for one another. I look forward to working alongside Attorney General Shapiro in the coming months to win this election and move Pennsylvania forward through the policies of a Shapiro-Davis administration.”
