A Year Ago Today, David McCormick and Dr. Oz Entered the Final Phase of Their Damaging Primary
PENNSYLVANIA — This time last year, the GOP’s messy, damaging, drawn out primary entered a recount. This came after McCormick, who lost to Oz on primary day, filed suit in Pennsylvania courts in a last ditch effort to save his failed campaign.
Despite boasting to Laura Ingraham that he was going to win, he conceded the following week.
McCormick’s primary loss came after he faced brutal attacks for his ties to China and Wall Street. Donald Trump even called him a “Wall Street Republican” and “the candidate of special interests.”
As McCormick weighs another Senate run, he’s facing the same vulnerabilities with Republican voters in Pennsylvania that caused him to fail last year.
