Trump Campaigned Aggressively Against David McCormick Throughout the 2022 Primary
PENNSYLVANIA — This time last year in the aftermath of the 2022 GOP primary, Donald Trump took to Truth Social to urge Dr. Oz to declare victory over David McCormick while votes were still being counted.
This came after Trump aggressively campaigned against McCormick, calling him a “Wall Street Republican” and “the candidate of special interests.” Trump’s opposition was such a vulnerability for David McCormick in the primary that McCormick took off and ran away from reporters asking him about it.
As McCormick weighs another Senate run, he’s facing the same vulnerabilities with Republican voters in Pennsylvania that caused him to flounder last year.
