ROUNDUP: SHAPIRO GAINS BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK LAW ENFORCEMENT ENDORSEMENTS

Shapiro shows momentum in campaign to be people’s Attorney General

PENNSYLVANIA —
Candidate for Attorney General Josh Shapiro has promised to be the people’s Attorney, enforce the commonwealth’s laws with integrity, and protect the health and safety of all Pennsylvanians — and law enforcement groups are noticing. In the past month, Shapiro has received the endorsement of three law enforcement organizations.

The largest local FOP Lodge in Pennsylvania, Lodge #5, the Pennsylvania County Detectives Association, and the International Police Association Region 13 agree that Josh Shapiro is the best candidate to be Pennsylvania’s next Attorney General because he will fight to keep our communities safe by combating the opioid epidemic and taking illegal guns off of the streets. He is the candidate of integrity who will defend our seniors, protect Pennsylvania’s environment, and stand up for the people of Pennsylvania.

Check out what law enforcement is saying:

FOP Lodge #5:

“Josh is the guy who officers on the beat, and the citizens we serve, trust to keep our communities safe,” said John McNesby, President of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5. “We’re proud to join Republican District Attorneys like Jim Martin and others in law enforcement in supporting Josh for Attorney General because he’ll take concrete steps to improve gun safety, support officers and communities, and take on the heroin epidemic. As Chairman of Montgomery County, Josh is the executive leader we need as our next Attorney General to improve public safety.”

County Detectives Association of Pennsylvania:

“Josh is a leader detectives and investigators can count on, based on his executive experience, integrity and non-partisan approach to public safety,” said Richard Marsh Sr., executive director of the County Detectives Association of Pennsylvania. “As Chairman of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, he’s worked closely with law enforcement to support victims. In Montgomery County, he brought law enforcement and behavioral health experts together to take a comprehensive approach to the heroin crisis. And as Attorney General, he’ll work with law enforcement to get illegal guns off our streets and out of the hands of terrorists, criminals and the mentally ill.”

International Police Association Region 13:

“As Chairman in Montgomery County, Josh put partisan fights aside to deliver impressive results as an executive, including one of the first standing orders for the life-saving drug naloxone, which has saved over 84 lives already. From preventing suspected terrorists on the FBI’s watch list from buying guns in Pennsylvania to taking on the drug cartels that cross our borders, Josh will keep our communities safe as Attorney General,” said Oscar P. Vance, Jr., President of IPA #13 and a member of the Montgomery County Drug and Alcohol Planning Council.
