SUPER-MAGA EXTREMIST LOU BARLETTA MOVES TOWARD A RUN FOR GOVERNOR

PENNSYLVANIA — Today, as Pennsylvania Republicans gear up for the “Super MAGA” primaries, one of Pennsylvania’s original MAGA extremists Lou Barletta has launched his own Political Action Committee as he nears a run for Governor.

Barletta was last seen repeating false claims of voter fraud and demanding that Congress refuse to certify President Joe Biden’s election victory on January 6th of this year.

“Pennsylvanians already had a chance to weigh in on Lou Barletta’s extremism and they did not like what they saw,” said Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesman Brendan Welch. “The Republican primary is set to be a race to the bottom of conspiracy theories, divisive culture wars, and candidates who care more about Donald Trump’s ego than Pennsylvania families.”

Barletta, a former U.S. Senate candidate, lost the 2018 general election to Senator Bob Casey by 13 points. He was a staunch defender of Trump’s policy of separating immigrant children from their parents at the border.

Barletta’s views have long made him a darling of groups that push 9/11 conspiracy theories, Holocaust denial, and neo-Confederate ideology.
