TRUMP LOYALISTS TURN ON CORMAN EVEN AS HE DESPERATELY TRIES TO GAIN THEIR FAVOR

PENNSYLVANIA — Jake Corman tried to turn himself into a far-right hero but has only managed to make himself a punchline. The weak-kneed leader of the PA Senate GOP played coy with Doug Mastriano’s fraudit quest for months before recently throwing his full support behind it, desperate for what the Philadelphia Inquirer calls a “MAGA makeover” ahead of the 2022 election. So far, the results of Corman’s bumbling attempt to shove Mastriano out of the spotlight while making “common cause with conspiracy theorists and MAGA diehards” are… not good. Let’s hear it from the MAGA diehards themselves:

C. Arnold McClure, chairman of the Huntingdon County GOP, which Corman represents: “What will this all mean down the road? Sen. Corman’s longevity in office is endangered.”

Steve Bannon, former Trump chief strategist: “This is an outrage… Corman’s got no place to hide.”

Wendy Bell, conservative streamer: “Empty promises, tap dancing, finger-pointing, blaming others, gets you nowhere… I have grave concerns over what he and a fair number of Republicans in general, across the country, have or have not done to advance this.”

Toni Shuppe, founder of Audit the Vote PA released a video of Corman at the Centre County Grange Fair, where he was grilled by conservative activists who accused him of “hiding.” Shuppe calls him “Jake the Snake,” says that his “political career is over” and her goal is to “get him to resign.”

Corman has fumbled and bumbled his way through the fraudit and shown what a weak leader he is. Now, Pennsylvania taxpayers will be on the hook for millions as he attempts to appease the far-right — and even the far-right thinks Corman is full of it.
