Democrats protect and expand the democratic majority
PENNSYLVANIA – Congratulations to Senator Ralphael Warnock and the people of Georgia on his reelection. The win cements Senator-Elect John Fetterman as the 51st Democratic vote in the new expanded majority.
Fetterman’s win marks the first time since 1962 that the party controlling the White House has picked up a Senate seat in the first midterm. The win was just part of the historic election night Pennsylvania Democrats had.
Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Jack Doyle issued the following statement:
“Congratulations to Senator Raphael Warnock, his whole team, and the people of Georgia. This win cements Senator-Elect Fetterman as the fifty-first vote in the Democratic majority. Democrats said from day one that we were planning on protecting and expanding the Senate majority and last night we delivered. We cannot wait to see this new expanded majority fighting for families and workers across the country.”
