PENNSYLVANIA — This week, Republicans nominated “unelectable” Doug Mastriano, the most dangerous and extreme candidate in Pennsylvania gubernatorial history — and they’re getting nationwide attention for their efforts.
“Republicans’ nominee for Governor Doug Mastriano is a dangerous and extreme far-right conspiracy theorist who attended the Jan. 6 insurrection and wants to outlaw abortion with no exceptions and throw doctors in jail who perform them — even Republicans know he’s too far-right for our Commonwealth,” said Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Marisa Nahem. “Doug Mastriano has spent months catering to the fringe and showing that he’s the future of the MAGA movement, more extreme than even Trump himself — and people across the country are tuning in to watch Republicans’ nightmare nominee.”
