CROWDED, MESSY “SUPER MAGA” PRIMARY CONTINUES TO GROW, ATTRACTING MORE FAR-RIGHT HOPEFULS

PENNSYLVANIA – Today, the crowded field of far-right candidates competing to serve Donald Trump in the Governor’s mansion continued to grow, as Dave White joined fellow PA Apprentice hopefuls in a fast-growing race to the bottom.

Pennsylvanians clearly aren’t impressed with the Republican primary candidates, but instead of focusing on the Commonwealth, the candidates are determined to prove their “Super MAGA” bonafides, embracing one far-right litmus test after another, from championing the Big Lie to endorsing Texas’ abortion ban. In his campaign biography, White says he is “a supporter of President Donald J. Trump’s America First agenda” — an agenda that included gutting health care and allowing the COVID-19 pandemic to run rampant throughout the country.

“Another candidate joins the fray as the far-right PA-Gov primary grows messier by the day,” said Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Marisa Nahem. “Mar-a-Lago’s shadow has engulfed the Republican primary, and no matter how many more out-of-touch, far-right candidates jump in, Pennsylvanians recognize that this primary will be about Donald Trump and his extreme agenda rather than what our Commonwealth needs.”
